Holiday crafting....

With renos in the pipeline for our family.... our craft/computer room was given the heave ho and mountains of unwanted bits and pieces were tossed and many things put in the giveaway bags...all in preparation for boxing all the things we really want and need without the hassle of keeping 'junk'...
My children have always had access to this room and all it contains...
Pencils, crayons, paints, scissors, glue and all the making stuff you can possible want..EVER!
Yes, the table is covered in paint and textas and even the walls but that is what this room was always about...and often you can find us all in here at the one time...yes, cosy...(squishy)
It will be the one room I will miss the most but if all goes to plan the same type of room will be in our renovations although I may be a little more precious about paint on the walls then...  :(
But for now it is all action and crafting and creating can be done with ease now that it has had a good old cleanup...amazing when it is all tidy that it makes the children want to be in here and yes it all gets messed up again but in a good way!
Some holidays crafting has been in the form of new fingerprint stamps for little m...
A paint by numbers set...( I always wanted one of these as a kid!)
And a fabulous marbling kit which has provided hours of fun...

One week to go and school holidays will be over....it's never long enough.!

I love how you have given your children a "crafting space" and not been precious about it, well done.
I only wish more mums would love the holidays .... Enjoy

It is a lovely space Suzanne and I'm sure when the new room is built it will soon be just the same. Good luck with the renovations.

Hi
I have just discovered your blog and am enjoying having a browse around it. I love the holidays with the kids too,,,,,,I'm so sad they are coming to an end in just over a week, I truly don't want to see them back into the school routines again :(

I love your crafting room! This is what we need in our house, where it doesnt matter if kids create their master pieces on the wall, or the floor or all over the table :) Enjoy the rest of the holidays with the kids at home..
